Horizons is a monthly concert series from Suranjan, aiming to provide a platform to young and upcoming musicians in Indian Classical Music, through a digital platform. Horizons will bring to you classical musicians from around the world, on the last Sunday of each month.

This month, we bring you two promising young musicians,who are up and coming in the field of classical music. Shreerang Datar from Mumbai, India, and
Hiranmayee S from Bengaluru, India.

Shreerang Datar
Shreerang Datar has been learning classical music under the tutelage of Shri. Nishad Bakre since the past 11 years. He has received various awards and scholarships in music, notably thee Scholarship for Young Artists from the Govt. of India 2014-15 and Pt. Madhukar Kothare Uttung Sangeet Scholarship 2018-19.
He has had the pleasure of performing at distinguished venues such as Pt. Maruti Kurdekar Smruti Mahotsav in 2014, Shreerang Pratishthan in 2015, Diwali Pahat Dombivali in 2017, Girnar Sangeet Mahotsav in 2018, Lonavala Khandala Sangeet Sammelan in 2019, and Suranjan Baithak series - 3 in 2019.
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Green Technology.

Hiranmayee S
Hiranmayee S has been training in Hindustani Classical Music under the tutelage of Ustad Faiyaz Khan from the past 13 years, and from Shri. Arshad Ali Khan since the past 3 years at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy as a scholar. She has received the National Scholarship to Young Artists for Hindustani Classical from the Centre for Cultural Research and Training (CCRT, Govt. of India) in 2019. She has also received a scholarship from the Karnataka Sangeeta Nritya Academy in 2019. She is a B-Grade Artist of All India Radio. She has won more than 200 prizes in musical competitions held at state and national level. She has performed at prestigious venues such as Parveen Begum Smruti, Bangalore, Pt. Pravin Godkhindi's Dasara Sengeetotsava, Kundgol Sangeetotsava, 'Parampara' in memory of late Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, to name a few.
