About Us

Suranjan Trust is a non-profit organization, based in Thane, India, focused on promotion and propagation of Hindustani Classical Music. Our goal is to attract young generations towards Classical Music and encourage them to pursue it. Suranjan provides a forum where thought leaders, gurus, and legends of classical music share their knowledge with students. We also hope to bring high-quality concerts to the lovers of classical music through this forum.

Suranjan organizes “Dinrang” on 2nd October of each year in the loving memory of Pt. Dinkar Kaikini. Established classical musicians perform during this event. This is a treat to lovers of classical music.

Spotting and encouraging young talent at an early stage is one of the prime objectives of Suranjan. With this objective in mind, every year Suranjan organizes “Passion – State Level Competition for Hindustani Classical Music.”

In its second year, Passion 2019 was held at 5 different cities of Maharashtra with a final round at Thane on November 3, 2019. The performances were judged by Pt. Arun Kashalkar and Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki
